Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using PainBase at painbase.space (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

PainBase is a SaaS intelligence platform that aggregates and analyzes publicly available user pain points and problem statements from public sources (including Reddit and X/Twitter) to help founders, entrepreneurs, and product builders identify SaaS opportunities. The Service provides:

  • A real-time feed of curated pain point signals
  • AI-powered gap analysis and scoring
  • Search and filtering tools
  • Data export capabilities (for paid users)

3. Account Registration

  • You may create an account using Google OAuth or email/password authentication via Supabase.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
  • You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Service.
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service beyond intended usage
  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service without our written permission
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users of the Service

5. Payments & Subscriptions

  • Some features of the Service require a paid subscription.
  • Payments are processed securely through Polar. By subscribing, you also agree to Polar's terms of service.
  • Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or as specified at the time of purchase).
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us at support@painbase.space for refund requests.

6. Intellectual Property

  • The Service, including its design, code, AI models, branding, and aggregated data analysis, is owned by PainBase and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
  • The underlying public data (e.g., Reddit and X posts) remains the property of its original authors and platforms.
  • You retain ownership of any content you submit through the Service, but grant us a license to use it for operating and improving the Service.

7. Data & Content Disclaimer

The pain points, scores, and analysis provided by PainBase are generated from publicly available data using AI-powered tools. This information is provided for informational purposes only and should not be construed as business, financial, or investment advice. We make no warranties about the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the data.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information, including data received through Google OAuth.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PAINBASE AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Termination

  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, without prior notice.
  • You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.
  • Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, and we may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation or, if necessary, binding arbitration.
